Travel to Kronosaurus Korner in Richmond followed by a visit to Marathon Station and discover two of the most complete prehistoric fossils found in Australia, Penny the Plesiosaur and Minmi the Kunabarrasaur and other fantastic marine fossil discoveries that have been unearthed on this country.
You will see complete marine fossils in the field as well as learn about the famous Marathon dinosaur and marine reptile discoveries from the early Cretaceous period, when much of Australia was inundated by a great inland sea that is now part of the Great Artesian and Lake Eyre Basins.
At the day’s end we will be returning to Winton and the North Gregory Hotel for excellent wining and dining options via a delightfully surprising extensive menu that belies its location, in the renowned 20th century artist Daphne Mayo Dining Room.
